Reading time: 1 minute
Hutchinson has completed the acquisition of Cox & Company, a specialist in low-power ice protection solutions. This move reinforces Hutchinson’s position as a global Tier 1 partner for the aerospace and defense industries.
Strengthening leadership in a growing market
As the aerospace sector experiences sustained growth, Hutchinson is expanding its technological leadership. The integration of Cox & Company (integrated ice protection and temperature control) and its subsidiary Prime Technology (naval defense and industrial instrumentation), allows the Group to offer an even broader portfolio of critical cabin and flight safety solutions.
Advanced technologies for energy efficiency
With the addition of Cox & Company’s proprietary EMEDS Electro Mechanical Expulsion Deicing Systems and TMEDS Thermo Mechanical Expulsion Deicing Systems, Hutchinson now provides industry-leading, low-power de-icing technologies. These solutions meet the rising demand for reliability and energy efficiency in extreme flight conditions.
An expanded global footprint
This acquisition strengthens Hutchinson’s manufacturing presence, particularly in the North American market, with three new sites:
- Plainview (New York, USA)
- North Branford (Connecticut, USA)
- Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic)
With more than 35 sites dedicated to Aerospace & Defense worldwide, Hutchinson reaffirms its proximity-driven strategy to respond with agility to its customers’ needs.
