Hutchinson on board the new-generation Parisian MF19 Metro!

Reading time: 2 minutes

Following the success of the MP14, Hutchinson is proud to announce its key participation in Alstom’s MF19 project for Île-de-France Mobilités. This is a major milestone in the ambitious plan to renew 50% of Parisian metro rolling stock by 2033.

The first MF19 trains have been operating on Line 10 since October 16, 2025, and will be gradually deployed on lines 3, 3bis, 7, 7bis, 8, 12, and 13. This project guarantees an improved passenger experience (comfortable seating, fluid circulation, video protection, etc.).

Technical expertise serving mobility

Our components are central to the performance, comfort, and safety of the future trains.

  • Suspensions: Hutchinson is the sole supplier of the primary and secondary suspensions. They are essential: they filter vibrations, provide flexibility and comfort to passengers, and ensure car stability. The secondary suspension integrates a critical pneumatic membrane.
  • Flooring and fluid components: the MF19 trains are equipped with our brake hoses (car-to-bogie connection, with qualification testing nearing completion), lubrication hoses, and roof water recovery hoses.

A collaborative success

This project illustrates the excellence of our teams and the strength of our internal collaboration. Key systems like the secondary suspension and the inter-car gangway are the result of a complex assembly involving multiple rubber trades and different manufacturing sites.

This railway equipment, a carrier of high added value, is the result of close collaborations between our sites in Étrépagny, Montargis, Roubaix, Persan, and Fleury-les-Aubrais, a challenge successfully met. Hutchinson is committed to safer, more comfortable mobility.
