As the 2025 Tour de France begins, Hutchinson proudly stands as the official technical partner for the Intermarché-Wanty WorldTour team. This deep collaboration merges our innovation with the team's quest for victory on cycling's most demanding stage.

A partnership for performance: The new Blackbird Race Lab tyre
At the heart of our collaboration is a groundbreaking innovation: the new Hutchinson Blackbird Race tyre. Developed in direct partnership with Intermarché-Wanty's riders and performance staff, this tyre represents the pinnacle of our expertise. It is a product handmade in our factory in France, symbolizing our commitment to quality and providing a tangible advantage for the team.
Mikey van Kruiningen, Head of Equipment at Intermarché-Wanty, notes that the team sought a new technological edge, specifically "a tyre with good grip, which has been the Achilles' heel of the tubeless system so far, especially in wet conditions." The result is a tyre so exceptional in its grip and performance that riders have nicknamed it the "'MotoGP tyre' of cycling." This collaborative partnership develops solutions that deliver a decisive advantage in the most critical environments.
A team ready to challenge
Intermarché-Wanty arrives at this Tour with a powerful, versatile eight-rider squad, blending youthful talent with proven experience, aiming for stage victories across the challenging 2025 route.
Biniam Girmay leads the charge. Last year, he made history as the first Black African rider to win the prestigious Green Jersey. Armed with his formidable sprint and the new Blackbird tyres, Girmay is a top contender for stage wins and the points classification.
He's supported by a dynamic roster including Louis Barré, the revelation of the season, making his highly anticipated Tour debut after strong performances like 6th at Amstel Gold Race and 3rd at Paris-Camembert. German champion Georg Zimmermann, a proven stage hunter, will target victories in breakaways and high mountains.
