Reading time: 2 minutes
Changshu, June 4 – Hutchinson and HRC have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to expand their footprint in the fast-growing aerospace MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) segment for composite components, and to jointly capture new opportunities across the global aviation market.
This collaboration supports the evolving needs of aerospace programs and operators, combining Hutchinson’s expertise in advanced multi-material systems across the full aerospace lifecycle with HRC’s strong industrial capabilities in composite solutions. Together, they aim to play a key role in addressing demand for efficient, scalable maintenance services and building a more resilient aerospace value chain.
Hutchinson brings end-to-end expertise, from design and serial production to aftermarket services (MRO, PMA, DER), supported by a global maintenance network across Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. With its deep knowledge of OEM requirements and processes, Hutchinson supports customers throughout the full lifecycle of aerospace components, ensuring high standards of performance, reliability and competitiveness. HRC complements this with recognized capabilities in R&D, engineering, large-scale production and integrated assembly, and a strong presence in fast-growing markets. It has become a designated carbon fiber partner for more than 100 leading automotive and aviation OEMs worldwide.
By combining HRC’s advanced composite capabilities with Hutchinson’s global footprint and expertise, this partnership aims to strengthen MRO capabilities for composite aircraft components, initially targeting the Chinese domestic market, including key parts such as radomes, flight control surfaces and panels. By leveraging their complementary strengths, both partners aim to jointly expand their reach and scale their service offering worldwide.
Looking ahead, Hutchinson and HRC will establish a long-term, innovation-driven collaboration, with the shared ambition to contribute to the sustainable and high-quality development of the global aviation industry.
