Hutchinson showcases core hydrogen technologies at CIHC
Reading time: 2 minutes
Hutchinson successfully concluded its participation in the 5th China International Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Exhibition (CIHC), which brought together more than 500 leading players from the global hydrogen industry. As a world‑leading expert in sealing and vibration control technologies, Hutchinson presented solutions covering the entire hydrogen value chain, from production and storage to applications.
Focus on production: new electrolyzer sealing solutions
A key highlight of the event was the presentation of a new range of sealing gaskets for electrolyzers, designed to enhance safety, reliability and long‑term operational stability.
- Alkaline (ALK) electrolyzers: a PFAS‑free, ultra‑low‑leachate EPDM gasket, resistant to high pressure and alkaline environments (KOH). Its zero‑leak, no‑creep design ensures reliable performance from ‑50 °C to +150 °C.
- PEM electrolyzers: sealing solutions based on PFAS‑free EPDM and FKM materials, resistant to acidic media, deionized water, and hydrogen and oxygen environments, providing absolute sealing of bipolar plates and extended service life.
Safety and reliability across the system
Hutchinson also highlighted its expertise through:
- fluid management solutions enabling safe, zero‑leak hydrogen transport;
- high‑reliability sealing systems for high‑pressure storage;
- vibration and isolation solutions, including ISOLATOR STABIFLEX® and ISOLATOR 22000, designed for the demanding dynamic conditions of fuel cell engines, circulation pumps and air compressors, improving system durability and efficiency.
More than a technology showcase, CIHC marked a key step in strengthening collaboration with industry partners. Hutchinson will continue to support customers from design to integration, contributing to a safer, more efficient and more sustainable hydrogen future.
