Hutchinson Łódź plant installs 10 000 m² photovoltaic carport
Reading time: 1 minute
Since August 2025, the Hutchinson plant in Łódź, Poland, inaugurated an emblematic project: the transformation of its parking lot into a vast photovoltaic carport.
This solar carport covers 10,000 m² and houses 2,105 photovoltaic panels, providing a total installed capacity of 0.99 MWp (megawatt-peak).
Since it’s commissioning, this installation has immediately had a positive impact on the site's environmental performance:
- The system is capable of generating approximately 1,000 MWh of energy per year.
- This setup will prevent the emission of 450 tonnes of CO2 annually, significantly contributing to the site's decarbonization.
This project reflects Hutchinson’s strong commitment to energy and resource optimization. The group continues to explore new initiatives for a more sustainable future across all its sites.
