  • V95-95, developed by Precision Sealing Systems’ O-Ring Division. This is a rubber compound homologated against explosive decompression.
  • K-EL 850, developed by Precision Sealing Systems’ VCD Division. This is a new nanotechnology-based coating used on metal valve components.
  • Zaltex, developed by Precision Sealing Systems’ FCD. This is a composite material for liquid natural gas carrier deck protection.
  • Flexible joints for risers and subsea connection systems for tension leg platforms based on the Laminated Elastomeric Component (LEC) technology, designed and manufactured by Hutchinson’s Cernay Aerospace & Industry plant (France). The flexible joints for risers are flexible connectors for riser applications and moorings on oil fields, linking suspended lines to platforms. The subsea connection systems for tension leg platforms make it possible to assemble the various leg segments together, docking the platform to the hull and anchor pile. A full-scale component weighing 900kg was displayed on our booth!

The various Hutchinson entities involved in this show coordinated their efforts from France, the US, Italy and Korea. The Precision Sealing Systems and Aerospace & Industry teams, supported by Marketing and Sales representatives from Belt Drive Systems and Hutchinson’s Slough plant (UK), together set out Hutchinson’s positioning as an international, global operator on the oil and gas market.
